Position: Director of E-Gov projects (full-time)

About us: The Artificial Intelligence Council of Tajikistan under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan is a recently established organization with the goal to develop artificial intelligence in Tajikistan according to the National Strategy on AI, which was approved by the President of Tajikistan on September 30, 2022. AI Council focuses on the implementation of projects and initiatives in four major directions including education, deployment, data, and ethics. Leading companies in the finance and telecom sectors are members of the AI Council (Babilon, Megafon, ZET Mobile, Spitamen Bank, Eskhata Bank). The funding of the AI Council comes primarily from members’ contributions and other international organizations. Currently, the Council is implementing Upskill 1.0 project on capacity building among teachers and students of universities in Tajikistan on AI. Furthermore, several nationwide projects on AI are planned.

Key responsibilities:

• Interaction with Governmental Structures: Establishing and maintaining effective collaboration with various government bodies and agencies to align strategies for the integration of artificial intelligence into various spheres of government management.
• Development and Implementation of AI Use Cases: Taking responsibility for the development of concepts and strategies for utilizing artificial intelligence to optimize processes in government management, as well as implementing specific AI use cases in various aspects of governmental functions.
• Webinars and Training: Organizing educational events, webinars, and seminars for government officials to enhance their qualifications in the fields of electronic government and artificial intelligence.
• Monitoring Trends in E-Gov and AI: Analyzing and tracking the latest trends and innovations in electronic government and artificial intelligence to continuously update strategies and working methods.
• Contribution to Legislation Development: Participating in the development and proposal of legislative and regulatory acts that govern the use of artificial intelligence in government management.

Qualification:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role, preferably at a managerial level within government institutions or technology companies;
• Ability to form a vision, build a system, and enforce its sustainability;
• Strong communication and negotiation skills;
• Excellent knowledge of written and oral Tajik, Russian and English;
• Technical background;
• The ability to multi-task is a must.
